Presentation
The Scorpio 55′ is based on the reliable Scorpio 45′, sharing the same structural components, with the addition of one more telescopic section to increase the camera height by 3 m (9’7’’).
The application of the latest technologies has allowed us to push the limits of the Scorpio 45′ while maintaining the key features of Service Vision’s best-selling crane.
The Scorpio 55′ sits between the Scorpio 78′ (without its last section) and the Scorpio 45′, offering a glimpse of the reach of the Scorpio 78′ while preserving the versatility of the Scorpio 45′. By reducing the payload capacity to 40 kg (88 lbs), a new dimension in reach and stability has been achieved, enhancing the key characteristics of the Scorpio 45′.
If required for production, the last section can be removed, effectively converting it into a Scorpio 45′ with a payload capacity of 60 kg (132 lbs), using the compact Scorpio Leveling Head supplied with the crane or any other Scorpio Leveling Head, including the Scorpio LH300.
Like the standard Scorpio 45′, the Scorpio 55′ can be motorized with the Scorpio Traction System to provide additional mobility, or the telescopic column can be replaced with the new Scorpio hydraulic column.
In terms of compatibility, the Scorpio 55′ shares the same electronic box and dynamic counterweight system as its larger siblings: the Scorpio 45′, the Scorpio 38′, and the Scorpio 78′.
The good news is that an existing Scorpio 45′ can be upgraded to a Scorpio 55′ without affecting its performance.
